Elections in Cuba are an action of popular participation

Why do they call it democracy?

Concerning the recently finished CELAC- EU Summit, I think it is worth referring to a controversial word: Democracy. That is the term which the mass media responding to the "big world" manipulates against the Latin American region. They wondered how President Raul Castro, a representative of an "anti-democratic" country (from their point of view), could attend the Summit and immediately assumed presidency of such an organization for a period.

Jose Marti’s thought is eternal

altIn just a few months, Cubans will recall that Jose Canton Navarro, one of the most important scholars of the national history in Cuba- passed away five years ago. Despite this tragic event, he is always in mind since and I often look for his books to find some accurate information or illuminating opinion on exceptional moments of our history.

In books, articles, pamphlets and lectures, Canton strongly highlighted the contribution of Jose Marti's thought to the Cuban people's struggle during the 19th century and even at present time, when the fight against the media is a crucial element in these days.
