On the occaison of the upcoming 8th Congress of the Committees for the Defence of the Revolution (CDR), Cubans are meeting across the nation to discuss their problems and deficiencies.

Back in 1960, the Cuban Revolution was just blooming and some even believed it was reversible. That was exactly the motive why the United States organized a mercenary invasion of the island which would end up with the establishment of a new government.

Rita Aurelia Fulceda Montaner y Facenda became the first woman in the history of Cuban Radio to send her voice through the airwaves. On April 17, 1958, “La única,” as she was called, died leaving Cuban culture without one of its most beautiful voices in the lyrical genre.

It is well known that the modern world is facing serious challenges. It is facing climatic change, epidemics, floods, droughts, dirty wars, death, and more death. Amidst these challenges is another evil specter, that of the media war, rising up to haunt the peoples of the world.
