I have not stopped remembering the occasion when at five pm on March 5th the cell phone rang and I heard the heartbreaking piece of news when I was travelling through the Palma Soriano town to the Tercer Frente municipality.“Listen, Carlos. It is being aired in the Telesur network that Chavéz has just passed away.” It was the voice of my brother-in-law, José Manuel, who does know the admiration I have felt in respect of that man who has left sad the best part of mankind.

The elections in the United States are an embarrassing show in many aspects. There is no doubt about it. One of the aspects is the role of mainstream media, which takes part in the show with the "innocent" purpose of contributing to strengthen democracy for a "small" amount of money.
