UNICEF, the United Nations Children's Fund, has just disclosed that the world is holding no less than thirty million children and adolescents that qualify as refugees, most of them without the company of an adult or family member -- a regrettable situaton the like of which had not been recorded since the Second World War, when the conflict devastated large portions of our planet.
The expansion of domestic and international armed conflicts, the vast generalization of poverty and its multiple associated ills, increased violence and the dangerous consequences of climate change, rank among the main causes of the disruption of society in many latitudes, with the poor and destitute always paying the highest price, very often with their own lives.

The biography of the mythical Cuban musician Chano Pozo, written by Rosa Marquetti and published by Editorial Oriente, was recently presented in a Saturday of the Book. The event of the literary promotion is organized and carried out every weekend by Cuban Book Institute, at Madera St, on Plaza de Armas, in Old Havana.
New Tax Regulations for local Self-Employed Workers
The local official gazette number 35 included some tax regulations to improve the self-employment modality to be coming into Force on the first days of December.
