Cuba Celebrates Presenters’ Day
Announcing and radio are inseparable; one can’t do without the other. That's why in Cuba we celebrate Presenters’ Day on December 1st. These are the familiar voices of the men and women who present the news and programs, whether on radio or television. Radio wouldn’t exist without announcers, at least not the way we know it to date.
Announcing at the Radio
From the professional point of view, I have never liked to mention a number of people, who have excelled on certain spheres on human development; since there is no doubt that you run the inevitable risk not to mention someone, and it is something uncomfortable but involuntary. About the aforementioned, I get out of a essential list of announcers from the radio that this media has treasured throughout the 20 century and the ongoing century as the most important professionals within the announcing.
During 88 years, great announcers have been carrying out their works in the broadcasting of dramas, the immediacy of everyday news, the entertainment provided by musical programs and others, the historical outlines of important events of our revolution, and of course, at the Radio Reloj station, an institution of the Cuban announcing; so all that makes us to reach a true that defines the announcing in Cuba: professionalism.
The speech: the everlasting word
In written language, who issued denotes the cleanliness and style their education. In the case of speech is the same, especially if the person delivers it as a professional of the so called media, radio and television where always the ethical and aesthetic concepts are socially accepted.
It is usual that the speech always reveals such expressive excellence but not always get the proper empathy of those who listen to it. Striking fact is that many times in the case of the spoken word, but reveals that "excellence" expressive, does not always get the proper empathy for those who listen.
