Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez meets with US Secretary of Transportation
Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received on Tuesday at the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry Secretary of Transportation of the United States, Anthony Foxx, who traveled to Cuba to participate in the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding for the establishment of flights regular between Cuba and the United States.
The Cubaminrex digital portal reported that Foxx was accompanied by the Assistant Secretary for Economic and Business Affairs Department of State, Charles Rivkin, the Deputy Chief of the US Embassy in Cuba, Scott Hamilton, and other officials.
Cuba Resumes Medical Cooperation in the Bahamas
A brigade of 18 Cuban health professionals arrived on Tuesday in the Bahamas to resume medical cooperation in that Caribbean country after the conclusion there of "Operation Miracle" almost a decade ago.
According to a note by the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the physicians will offer their services in different Bahamian public hospitals, mainly in the capital and the island of Freeport, the second largest in the nation.
