Reinaldo Hierrezuelo, Last Member of Los Compadres, Dies in Havana
Reinaldo Hierrezuelo, the famous singer and tres (three-string guitar) player of the duo Los Compadres, died on Tuesday in Havana, at age 90, the Cubadebate Web site reported citing family sources.
With over fifty years of work, the so-called Rey Caney is regarded as one of the leading figures of traditional Cuban music.
Ramon Castro Ruz Dies in Havana
Ramon Castro Ruz died in this capital on Tuesday morning, at age 91.
He was born in Biran, in today’s Holguin province, on October 14, 1924. He was incarcerated by the regime of dictator Fulgencio Batista in 1953. During the liberation war he cooperated with the 26 of July Movement and organized one of the rings of varied supplies that provided the 2nd Frank Pais East Front.
Cuba-US talked on cybersecurity
