Half a million Cubans attended Major Lazer concert in Havana

 
Over 400 thousand people attended a concert by the US Major Lazer project Sunday at Havana´s Jose Marti Anti-Imperialist Plaza, on the city´s sea-front drive.
 
Observers say that the crowd largely made up of young people enjoy during five hours of electronic music in what is considered the largest attended concert of its kind in Cuba.

Cuba Reaffirms Commitment to Peace and Social Justice

Cuba reaffirmed in Geneva on Wednesday its commitment to the struggle for a world of justice, freedom and equality for all in the context of the 31st regular period of sessions of the Human Rights Council.

In his speech, the Director General of Multilateral Affairs and International Law of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pedro Nunez, said that while marking this year the tenth anniversary of the founding of the Human Rights Council, in that international organization political manipulation and double standards that put paid to his predecessor persist.

Second imported Zika case detected in Cuba

The Cuban Health Ministry announced the detection of a second imported Zika case.

The sick person is a 51-year-old Cuban nurse who was working in the Venezuelan state of Tachira. The nurse, a resident of the  Manzanillo city, in  eastern Granma province, arrived in the country on February 23.
