Cuba Wants to Cooperate for a Global Solution to Illegal Migration
Cuba underlined Tuesday here that the international cooperation and the shared responsibility of all the nations is the only way to achieve a global solution to the phenomenon of the migration.
That is also the way towards a major integration of the migrants to the society where they live, expressed Claudia Pérez, adviser of the Permanent Mission of Cuba in Geneva, in an interactive dialogue on the topic during the 32nd period of meetings of the Council of Human Rights.
Vietnam and Cuba Discuss Cooperation in Infrastructure Development
Cuba's Construction Minister, Rene Mesa is in talks with Vietnamese Transport Minister, Truong Quang Nghia regarding infrastructure development in both countries. Mesa, who is on the first day of his visit, discussed the prospect of improving the road system on the island, a goal of the 7th Congress of the Cuban Communist Party.

At the High Level Meeting-ending HIV/AIDS held today at the UN General Assembly, the Cuban Minister of Health, Dr. Roberto Morales Ojeda, after providing indicators underlying universality and cost-free principles of the Cuban Healthcare system, with intersectoral cooperation and community participation, highlighted the way in which Cuba guarantees an effective Program of prevention, diagnosis and antiretroviral treatment for people living with HIV, in line with changes in criteria recommended by the WHO and the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS).
