Cuban workers gear up for massive May Day March

Cuban workers throughout the island prepare massive mobilizations in support of the accords reached by the recent 7th Congress of the Communist Party as all unions and the non-state sector get ready to stage huge marches on May Day.
Cuban Workers Confederation leader Ulises Guilarte told Granma newspaper that workers have strong reasons to demonstrate with enthusiasm and activism on International Workers Day, and added that such action will be an expression of support to the main missions of the Cuban Communist Party, including economic development, the struggle for peace, unity and the firm ideology of the Cuban people.
Cuban doctors killed in Ecuador quake honored

Quito.- On April 19, Cubans, Ecuadorians and members of the diplomatic corps paid tribute to the three doctors from the island who died in the earthquake which devastated the northwest coast of Ecuador on Saturday, April 16.
