Raul Castro Meets Presidents of Haiti, Guyana, Jamaica and Suriname ( + Photos)

President Raul Castro has met the provisional President of Haiti, Jocelerme Privert; Guyanese President, David Granger; Suriname's Desire Delano Bouterse, and the Prime Minister of Jamaica, Andrew Holness, in Havana.
The Cuban head of State held talks on Sunday with the leaders of these Caribbean nations as they participated in the 7th Summit of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS), which recently concluded in Havana, national television reported.

Army General Raul Castro, President of the Cuban councils of State and Ministers, inaugurated on Saturday the high-level segment of the 7th Summit of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) with a call for peace in the region.
At the opening, which brings together at Havana’s Palacio de la Revolucion Heads of State and Government and delegations of territories grouped in the organization, Raul reaffirmed the importance of unity among nations in the area.

The 7th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) will take place today at Havana's Convention Center, to strengthen regional unity in diversity.
Another purpose of the leaders representing member states and associate countries of the organization established on July 24, 1994, in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, is to favor coordination, cooperation and sustainability for the benefit of the Caribbean peoples.
