People started to admire Miriam Vazquez form the first time she apperared on television and then, every Thursday just when the 9:00 clock cannon shot shake the city of Havana, a symbol of  the Cuban identity. 

In her performances she was accompanied by renowed artists like Maria de los Angeles Santana, Enrique Santiesteban, Germana Pinelli, Carlos Monteczuma, Juan Carlos Romero, Agustin Campos, Mario Limonta  and others…

People remebered Miriram when she performed Remigia, the spoiled mayoress in San Nicolas del Peladero transmitted by CMQ Canal 6 at the beginings of the 60’s, her performace combined sensitivity with intelligence.

From that moment, her presence was ususal in children programs, plays, stories and Cuban and universal soap operas and radio serials.

Rosalia Arnaez was born in 1954, she is a bachelor in Journalism at the Havana University. She always loves music and made a course of music and dramatic arts. Afterwards, she started working as an actress in the artistic group of the Armed Revolutionary Forces.

During 25 years she worked as announcer and presenter of the Cuban Television programs such as the National Television News, the program Estilos and has also been the presenter of shows and artistic galas transmitted by the Cuban Television as well as May 1st parades and mass meetings. Arnaez is considered one of the best Cuban presenters and announcers.

For many years, some colleagues who worked in Cadena Oriental de Radio -moved from Santiago de Cuba to Havana on August 3, 1953 - we thought about the visit of Comrade Fidel made to that station on May 20, 1955. We agreed that the reason was that almost all of its artists, technicians, journalists and employees came from the eastern territory.

A testimony offered by comrade Pedro Trigo, one of the participants in the actions of July 26, 1953, explained that the plans to assault Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Cespedes barracks, Fidel took into account the storming of radio station to achieve the resounding victory on the second military fortress of the country at that time
