Yoanny Duardo Guevara, works at Radio Reloj,- the oldest news station in Cuba – he beats the time of the station, second by second, without losing sight of the rhythm of life. His first great mischief caused the indifference of his cousin: "While I was having lunch, I took the dish by surprise and poured it over her" – he told me with his characteristic impish smile. Now, this impish youngster has become a great journalist, daring, intelligent and gentle.

He was born in Jíquimas neighborhood, in Sancti Spiritus, a Cuban province in the central region, and now lives in Havana. At the age of 25 years, he was selected the best worker of the station in 2011, a merit highlighting his worth, since must take into account that workers from different generations, with outstanding work, are at Radio Reloj.

To fall madly in love with radio, Magdiel Perez just had to listen to it relentlessly. "Listening to radio all the time made me feel inside that bug, which I think will never die," this young man, who since 2007 hosts the main radio news in Cuba called "Haciendo Radio" told Juventud Rebelde web site.

Magdiel said his participation in a journalism circle, as a teenager, finally made him focus on his passion for radio. Just recording during one or two minutes made him feel unspeakable happiness. At that time I use to get up at six o'clock in the morning to listen to that program. I awoke from a dream to enter another one."
