Cesar Arredondo, the most awarded professional of the National Radio Festivals, shares his experiences in the book De Becerra a la Rampa. Memorias de un locutor, that was launched on Friday in the Alejo Carpentier reading room in Morro- Cabaña military complex.
Once I heard it said that Cesar Arredondo, the notable professional of Radio Rebelde station, with his voice and peculiar style, had the power to shock, make reflect, calm and captivate the listener like a friend who knows the precise words to seduce with his conversation.
Yumié Rodríguez: Like Mother, Like Daughter
Yumie Rodriguez was born in the city of Santa Clara, located in the central province of Villa Clara, on September 25, 1973, from two outstanding figures of radio in Villa Clara and the country. Her father, Rolando Rodriguez Frenes, was the director of radio in the province for over 20 years, and her mother, Zady Flor, is an excellent announcer, whose voice identified the CMHW provincial radio station for many years and who is presently working at the island’s international radio station, Radio Habana Cuba.
Orlando Castellanos: The word among us
Orlando Castellanos was a self taught person; he used to visit a local radio station at eight years old. Later, he was an excellent professional of the media. This devotion for the media do not leave him to continue superior studies but it did not matter. Orlando Castellanos Molina makes its own phrase ‘the practice is the mother of knowledge. Since he was a child he learned and improved the quality in his work, the same in a local or national radio station, in Cuba or abroad.
