Cuban Actor Mario Limonta, 2016 National Humor Award Winner

Cuban actor Mario Limonta added to the list of his awards today the 2016 National Humor Award, granted in this capital as acknowledgment to his professional career.Granted by the Humor Promoting Center (CPH), the award acknowledges Limonta's histrionic abilities for cinema and television, as well as his performance in the radio show Alegrias de Sobremesa, one of the most popular radio programs in Cuba.

After the award winner was announced, CPH Director Kike Quiñones recalled the extraordinary work by the 80-year-old actor in movies in which he payed different roles with a marked comic bent.

Together with his wife, actress Aurora Basnuevo, Limonta has also worked as announcer and show host, giving a tinge of mischief and fine humor to those roles.
