Cuba will not make foreign exchange expenses exceed revenues, new investments are limited to basics and reduce the cost of the social sector in correspondence with the possibilities of the economy, announced to the Cuban Parliament Marino Murillo, vice president of the Council of Ministers.

The Minister of Economy and Planning presented the report to plenary on Economic Guidelines and the Draft National Budget for 2010, which recognizes that there are still reserves for increased production and economic efficiency.

The country must work to the maximum and with discipline, because the complex conditions will continue, announced the Minister of Economy and Planning, at the Fourth Regular Session of the Seventh Legislature of the People's Power National Assembly (Parliament).

Murillo noted the importance of agriculture to suburban food production, fuel consumption similar to 2009 and decreased use in electricity generation.

The Fourth Regular Session of the Seventh Legislature of the People's Power National Assembly (Parliament) meets this Sunday, with the assistance of the President of Cuba, Raúl Castro, the presence of 550 deputies, and as a guest Evaristo Boshap, president Parliament of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
