Cuban Parliament take place today at Havana

The Ordinary Period of Session of the VII Legislature belonging to People ‘Power Assembly of the Republic of Cuba takes place today at Havana’s Convention Center. It will be analyzed the National Budget for 2010 likewise the economic guidelines for the next year.

The members of the parliament will also know the cost estimate of what concerns Cuba economy, which was previously analyzed in the Permanent Working commissions of the Parliament.

A day earlier, the deputies listened to the reports of Abel Prieto, Minister of Culture and Maria del Carmen Concepcion, on the work in their respective organizations. As well as the main plans and projects udder their responsibility.

Abel Prieto, member of the Political Bureau and Minister of Culture, in his report to the deputies of the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba, called to add the artistic vanguard art education on the island, and promote more-from the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television and others-the best of national artistic talent.

According to a dispatch from the chief of Cuban Culture warned that at present time we must multiply the range of culture and hegemonic penetration against polluting and consuming industry. He also highlights the project of Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of our America. 

Prieto stressed the need to promote more cultural tourism with the aim of making these spaces more attractive and sites near the roots, customs and traditions. On this issue exemplified what was achieved by the Historical Center of Havana, from a collective effort led by Eusebio Leal, chief of the Office of the Historian of the City.

Also Maria del Carmen Concepcion, Minister of Food Industry (MINAL) said the sector experienced a steady growth in recent years, despite financial inadequacies and subjective problems.

During her intervention, the minister expressed that instead of the economic current crisis, the commercial production progress.

At those moments it takes place at Havana’s Convention Center, the Fourth Regular Session of the Seventh Legislature of the People's Power National Assembly.
